Privacy Policy
Everstudy ("we") runs the Everstudy website and the Android apps "에버스터디 일본어" (Everstudy Japanese) and "エバースタディ韓国語" (Everstudy Korean) (together, "the Service") and handles personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws. The website and both apps share the same accounts and the same server.
1. What we collect, why, and for how long

The Android apps do not sell passes. The apps do not collect location, contacts, photos or device identifiers.
2. Microphone and voice
- In pronunciation practice, your speech is turned into text by the speech recognition of your device's browser (such as Chrome); only the recognized text is sent to our server. We never receive or store voice recordings.
- The browser's speech recognition may be processed on the browser vendor's servers (for example Google) under that vendor's privacy policy.
- Recordings made with "Record and compare" are played back on your device only and are never uploaded.
- The microphone is used only when you allow it for pronunciation practice; you can turn it off at any time in your browser or device settings.
3. Sharing, processors and international transfers
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. We use these services to run the Service:

Posts, comments and nicknames on the exchange board are visible to other logged-in adult members, including members abroad (user IDs, e-mails and ages are not shown).
4. Deleting your account and what remains
- You can delete your account at any time: in the apps or on the website go to All menus → Profile & account → Delete account, or open the account deletion page (works without the app).
- Deletion immediately removes the account, profile photo, learning records, exchange posts and comments, block list and support questions.
- As required by law, payment and pass records (5 years), access logs (the period above) and report-handling records are kept with the user ID replaced by an unidentifiable number, then deleted when the period ends.
- If you cannot log in, write to the contact below from the e-mail address you signed up with; we delete the account promptly after confirming it is yours.
5. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, delete or stop the processing of your personal information. Change your nickname, photo and password in profile settings, where you can also withdraw consent to AI-training use at any time. Send other requests to the contact below.
6. Cookies and on-device storage
- We only use the cookies needed to keep you logged in (session cookie) and to block forged requests (security token).
- If you tick "Keep me logged in", a login cookie stays on that device for 30 days. It holds your user ID, an expiry time and a signature (no password), and it is deleted when you log out; changing your password voids it on every device.
- Screen settings such as your chosen voice stay in your device's browser storage.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children. People under 14 cannot sign up, and users aged 14 to 17 cannot use the exchange board. See the safety policy for details.
8. Security
- All traffic is encrypted with https.
- Passwords are stored with one-way encryption (BCrypt).
- Admin screens are limited to administrators, and repeated failed logins are temporarily blocked.
